Of chief importance is understanding your own insurance policy and knowing the difference between water damage and flood damage. Always understand and be able to distinguish between the two types of coverages (see my earlier blog, “Will Your Sarasota Insurance Policy Cover Water Damage?). It will likely save you a lot of heartache and expense should Sarasota end up in the path of another hurricane, a series of spin off tornados or flash floods. At Accutech, we remodel kitchens and baths for many reasons; either there’s been water or fire damage or you’ve decided to update your existing kitchen or bathroom with a new look. If there was initial damage you may have filed an insurance claim. We can replace it as it was per the insurance claim or many of our customers choose to make some upgrades.
